"Our life is shaped by our mind we become what we think.
suffering follows an evil thought as the wheels of a cart
follow the oxen that draw it.
Our life is shaped by our mind; we become what we think.
Joy follows a pure thought like a shadow that never leaves."
The Buddha

Innerstillness
Finding
the peace within you
Our inner stillness is a haven of peaceful spaciousness that is
masked by the
busy-ness of our
lives.
It is a quiet space where we plug back in to the source
of
our energy to regenerate.
It is the place
where the I no longer is and we simply
are, without
guile, without roles,
without identity;
innocent,
all knowing,
understanding, gracious, content.

Tuning
in
We can tune in to our inner stillness in many ways: those precious
moments of
timelessness
when
we drift off into reverie, daydreaming, remembering, forgetting,
losing ourselves; or when
we sit or
lie quietly with closed eyes looking into our
inner space, letting
go
of who we are,
letting go of
thoughts, letting go of expectations.
Beyond the letting go we reveal
our true nature,
our is-ness.
We discover an unlimited capacity for love, seeing everything and
everyone with
acceptance,
reconnecting, rediscovering our lack of separation. In this spacious
unity there
is no discord,
no disharmony, no mistrust, no injustice. All that permeates is
unison.

Relaxation
Relaxation is the means by which we eliminate stress as well as
acting as a gateway that opens to
the path to our spiritual selves. Put simply, if stress can be thought
of as one big held breath, then
relaxation is the exhalation of that breath. With that release we
may then enjoy resultant feelings of
relief, acceptance and calm.
We can touch in to this spaciousness through awareness, meditation
and healing which are all ways
of reconnecting to our inner selves. By focusing the mind on the
body, breath and sound we let go
of tensions which may be physical, mental or emotional. Where we
hold our tension depends on
core beliefs of which we may not be consciously aware. By developing
our awareness we begin to
see ourselves more clearly and bring our unconscious holding into
the light.

Benefits
The benefits of reconnecting to our innerstillness are that we:-
• Gain clarity of our thoughts and feelings and interactions
with others
• Become more peaceful, accepting, tolerant, joyful
• Gain inner resolve, courage and determination
• Restore our energy
• Are more easily able to manage our lives

“Silence
and spaciousness go together. The immensity of silence is the immensity
of the mind in which a centre does not exist.” J Krishnamurti
“All true artists, whether they know it or not, create from a place of no-mind, from
inner stillness.” Eckhart Tolle
